2020 – Up Out of the Ashes

Hunnie Bumble was born from crisis — in addition to the global pandemic that shook the whole, world and caused the loss of a close personal friend, I also survived a literal fire, the loss of a big break in my film career due to the layoffs, and the emotional fallout of so much loss all at once. Amid displacement and uncertainty, this little bee emerged as a symbol of resilience, joy, and hope. What began as a healing illustration evolved into an award-winning eco-friendly brand tailor-made to uplift a struggling world.

Created during a time when everything felt heavy, Hunnie Bumble became a way to make sustainability approachable, joyful, and deeply human. With over 70 million views across global platforms and partnerships rooted in real-world change, the brand continues to grow —
one story, sticker, and smile at a time.

2020 – 2022: Product Development, Meteoric Social Media Traction, & Design Award Win

Prototyping and development began for Hunnie Bumble’s first physical product line, including t-shirts, sandals, stickers, jewelry, and plushie prototypes.
During this time, short animations of the Hunnie Bumble characters and world also officially won global recognition across all social media messaging platforms through animation platforms GIPHY and Tenor, garnering 1 million views within a month - and now at over 70 million views/shares. The brand began partnering with recycling centers in Houston to design/donate educational posters, and led community cleanup crews in North Carolina to bring character-driven education to real-life initiatives.

Hunnie Bumble was introduced to the world again at an international licensing convention, where the brand was pitched live at a contest to a panel of C-level judges of major entertainment and retail companies. The award validated Hunnie Bumble’s unique blend of sustainability, storytelling, and market potential, and marked a major leap from personal project to professional platform.

2025 – Growth & Grassroots Re-activation (Current Year)

Following several layoffs in and out of different industries, the brand has been on hiatus.
We are now refocusing on launching a flipbook, expanding into 25+ local shops and schools, and developing partnerships with organizations like the Audubon Society. Plans are underway for event tabling, collaborative product drops, and early-stage plush development.

2026 and Beyond

With future goals including educational grants, expanded merchandise, and national retail partnerships, Hunnie Bumble continues to prove that storytelling can be a powerful tool for environmental change—and that joy has a place in the climate conversation.
